This colloquium will focus on investigating and understanding how the practice of science and its outcomes are shaped by socially-constructed identities. Students will learn about feminist science, technology, and society studies as a framework for analyzing science in social context. Readings will draw from a range of disciplines, including anthropology, history, Black thought, and philosophy. No prior experience with science is required.
