The first theoretical course preparing the student for the Adult-Gerontologic Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) role. The foundations of practice will explore the AGACNP role and transition, clinical documentation, and clinical practice. Clinical focus will include the topics of sepsis, shock, and cardiovascular emergencies. Didactic learning will occur through asynchronous learning consisting of multimedia, discussion boards, and case studies.
