Various classes of functions will be highlighted: polynomials, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric. Topics may also include: algebraic concepts, real number system, systems of equations and inequalities, complex numbers, and polar coordinates. The course will also explore the relationship between problem solving and the process of proving.
