Additional Course Details:

This course focuses on helping UNH athletic teams and outside sports organizations make more informed, data driven decisions via semester long small-group projects. Activities may include data gathering and requirements planning, data flow analysis, systems design, database design & implementation, systems testing, data collection, analysis, and visualization. Student groups will participate in regular discussions with their sports clients and provide two main deliverables, a research paper, and a data deliverable. In some cases, the data deliverables will be updated on an ongoing basis to help the teams with weekly game planning and/or player analysis. In addition, students will work closely with their faculty advisor who will assist with integration of the conceptual frameworks and models into consumable deliverables. The course format is a mix of project-based learning, research, and short lectures.  In the Fall this course will count for PAUL 670 BiP.
