The IRS's Volunteer income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free basic tax return preparation to people who generally make $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. The VITA program has operated for over 50 years. Participants will provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. Qualified Paul students may earn credit for this course by performing a minimum 24 hours of satisfactory service for VITA.
