This course emphasizes theory and concepts in clinical intervention within therapeutic recreation settings. Students learn to identify and select appropriate facilitation techniques for a variety of client needs. Students also learn to write and interpret practice-based documentation. This course provides advanced standing RMP students with entry-level knowledge of current management practice, specializing in planning, finance, budget, resource acquisition, technology, and evaluation. The primary objective of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the tools and approaches used in the management and financing of recreation and event planning agencies and organizations.
