Together, let’s discover, investigate, and celebrate these inquiries.

Join us as we take a deep dive into reading through an inquiry lens. Together, we will:

Immerse in rich, diverse children’s literature
Intentionally explore the relationship between metacognition and comprehension
Discover how reading and writing inquiry work supports deep cross-curricular learning
Curate text sets and plan a reading inquiry to support an individual unit of study
Create a demonstration of learning to share at a culminating celebration!

Individualized experiential training in an external (off-campus) exercise science setting (hospital, health & fitness club, business, physical therapy, or medical (physician assistant) offices, research laboratory) offering programs of prevention, intervention, and/or rehabilitation. The internship requires 400 contact hours and is a full-time commitment (10 weeks at 40 hours per week) usually taken the summer following the senior academic year. Activities may include graded exercise testing, exercise prescription, and exercise leadership. Must have completed all requirements for the option or have permission from the instructor prior to starting the internship. The course may be repeated once with 4 credits taken each time for a total of 8 credits. (IA continuous grading).

The United Nations? 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development provides an overarching set of goals to enhance fundamental well-being for all. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are mutually reinforcing; for example, environmental sustainability impacts gender equality/women's empowerment and vice versa. This course examines environment-related SDGs through a gender lens. Topics include but are not limited to: SDG 2 (zero hunger), SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production), SDG 13 (climate change).
