Basic principles; atomic structure, bonding, equilibria, and thermodynamics. One year of high school chemistry, algebra, and knowledge of logarithms. Cannot be taken for credit if credit received for CHEM 403 and CHEM 404. Required for chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, environmental engineering: industrial majors. Not applicable for credit for majors in chemistry or biochemistry.

If you are having difficulty finding a lab and/or lecture section with available space, use the course search feature in webcat registration. If you cannot find any that work with your schedule, you can check again in when general registration reopens (July 5), at which point spaces reserved for incoming freshmen will be released. Dr. Konen has set up the following wait list form that you can fill out. Please note that he cannot pre-reserve spaces for students this list, but will try to register you as indicated.

For other registration restrictions (major restriction or permission to registor for an NL section), please email Dr. Konen, and include your 9-digit UNH ID as well as the reason for your request. These permissions can be set before your RAC time whether or not you have identified specific sections with space avialable.
