This semester, the artform we will be discussing is video games. Topics will include video games as interactive art (or whether they are art at all), embodiment in fictional worlds, the morality of virtual violence, whether games should be judged by their moral content or if they are just games, whether they promote violence and toxicity in the real world, how reality is being “gamified,” and others.
