Labor Relations in the Public Sector.  The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the development, theory, and practice of labor relations and collective bargaining, with emphasis on the public sector.  Students will become familiar with the development of collective bargaining in the private and public sectors, public sector collective bargaining statutes and legal procedures, and the interplay of public employee collective bargaining with politics, public policy, budgets, and civil service rules. 

The course, which will follow a more traditional course format (rather than seminar), will be entirely asynchronous, to maximize students' flexibility in the use of their time.

The course covers the concepts, theories and analytical methods used in professional personal financial planning. Students analyze the effects of inflation, changing interest rates and taxation (high level taxation) on their investment decisions. The course is designed to expose students to all of the directly applicable mathematical formulas involved in the finance world that we utilize on a daily basis.
