The Volunteer income Tax Assistance(VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $56,000. or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. Qualified Paul students may take this course as part of VITA by performing a minimum 24-32 hours of satisfactory service for VITA (we hope you will spend as much time as possible beyond 32 hours to help those less fortunate!).

In this course, students will learn about the art of social selling & networking in today’s business environment. This sales technique enables better lead generation, prospecting and eliminates the need for cold calling. Building and maintaining relationships is easier within the network that you and your customers trust. Social selling allows sales professionals to target prospects and virtually establish rapport with their customers. Throughout this course you will learn how to use social media platforms (such as LinkedIn) to drive sales and expand your business network. Social selling is a trend that would have gained popularity with or without the pandemic.
Sales/business professionals who utilize social selling best practices will see sustained advantage for many years to come.

Students will build confidence and knowledge on the corporate world as they prepare to begin their first full-time employment opportunity. This course will offer insight to the transition process from college to the working world and explore various tactical and strategic considerations of navigating this new environment. In addition, this course will allow for students to be more thoughtful on building relationships with peers, mentors, leadership and connections. At the conclusion of this course, participants will have a clearer perspective on expectations as they enter the workforce confidently.
