Topic: The Theory of Equations

This course provides some of the abstract underpinnings of polynomial alegbra topics that appear in the school curriculum (as well as some less well-known but still useful theorems and applications). We will work through various techniques for factoring "over" various fields, all with an eye on solving polynomial equations.
