Course Description:

This hybrid course is designed to help you learn effective and efficient ways of leading organizational change, large and small. You will learn how to use vision, power, and networks to support your change efforts, and how to change organizational structure, culture, and systems to support your organization’s strategic goals. Throughout the course, you will hone your ability to influence others, sell issues and gain buy-in, so that you can lead change even when you do not have the formal authority to do so. During the online sessions, you will learn about the tools and techniques needed and explore them through case analyses, discussions, and by interviewing a leader of change. During the weekend intensive at Paul College, you will expand your understanding of how change happens and how it affects individuals, including you, by engaging in experiential exercises, role plays, and discussions. Throughout the course, you will work on an applied project – a real organizational change of your choosing – and apply your evolving understanding of organizational change to your planning and execution.

Dates of the weekend-intensive portion are:  June 7, 9:00am -  4:30pm  &  June 8, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (Hamilton Smith Room 107)
