Designed to acquaint advanced child welfare practitioners with an overview of macro child welfare considerations including management, Continuous Quality Improvement, and training in child welfare.  Particular emphasis placed on leadership development and enhancement of best practice models within child welfare settings.  This course will explore the fundamental competencies of leadership including skills and behaviors that contribute to the outstanding performance of individuals and teams. It will examine the importance of social and emotional intelligence, systems theory, and resiliency as it relates to self and others and the importance of community in the field of child welfare.

This Discovery class begins as a two-week, on-line course and then packs in a busy schedule visiting amazing sights and taking in some of the best theatre in the English speaking world. The course offers an insight into the history, politics, society and culture of London through the lens of art, architecture, music, and of course, theatre. Special fee.
