This course is a comprehensive study of the field of sport and performance psychology, that is informed by current research and contemporary practice. We will explore learning, motivation, and social interaction in sport, mental training skills for performance enhancement, and the enhancement of health and well-being for the athletes through sport psychology. The prevention and reporting of misconduct and abuse within sport is discussed. We will also consider the application of mental training skills for optimal performance outside of the context of sport.
