Behavioral Economics and Decision Making

In this course we look at how humans make decisions, and compare that to economic and financial models of rational behavior.  Following the work of Daniel Kahneman and others we describe how biases and heuristics can influence decisions, then explore how to acknowledge behavioral elements of decision making and ultimately make better decisions.  The course focuses on consumer, managerial and financial decision domains, and employs cases, experiments and discussions to invoke critical thinking around decisions.
