Learn how to ice climb!  Explore the equipment, techniques, and procedures necessary for safe top-rope ice climbing. Develop basic ice climbing movement skills and how to best utilize ice climbing sites.  No equipment required. Clothing for field labs in cold weather needed.

The course combines an online academic class with on-site experiential learning though a fourteen day trip to Cuba. The course takes a highly contextual approach, locating the artwork in its historical, social, economic and cultural context for students to analyze and understand the complexities of modern Cuba. Series of practical opportunities to lead small groups, receive personal assessments and encouragement, and lead again in situations of increasing complexity. Plan and conduct training for other ROTC students in small unit offensive and defensive operations.
