The online discussion provides the opportunity for students to relate fieldwork experiential learning to all areas of UNH coursework including: mind-body systems, health-and-human systems of care; assessment; intervention; documentation; evidence-based practice; client-centered and occupation-centered practice; and application of research to practice. This course is the second course in a two-part course sequence that uses a life span approach, drawing on occupational science perspectives to study conditions typically diagnosed during adulthood (ages 21 and up). The emphasis is on the interaction of the individual (the mind), the body and the psychosocial environment as related to occupational performance. Students will work in pairs to examine selected disorders, and will further develop their presentation skills.
