Explores the interrelatedness of human security domains: economic, food, health, environmental, personal, community, and political security. Examines how national actors (state institutions and civil society) and global development actors create and cultivate the foundational governance structures necessary for durable peace and security. Topics include disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR), security sector reform (SSR), women, peace and security, and more.
Section Comments: Tech requirements: microphone & webcam. Students not in the GCHS program must have permission from the GCHS Coordinator Melinda Negron-Gonzales. Short 8-week format. Firm deadlines for assignments spread throughout the 8 weeks. Cross listed with GCHS 730.
