In this course students will gain an understanding of how best to conduct data analysis experiments utilizing computer software programs such as Matlab, JMP, and Excel. We will cover introductory data analysis methods along with the concept of hypothesis testing. We will discuss data types, input/manipulation, descriptive and inferential statistics, plotting, and entry-level coding. Upon the completion of the course, students should be able to conduct data analysis experiments within the context of biotechnology.
