Satisfies the Water Resources Area Elective

Watersheds are shaped by both physical and social forces which alter the hydrology and function of aquatic ecosystems.  This course will explore the interactions and connections between people and water through lectures, readings, and quantitative modeling.   Students will become familiar with watershed management regulations and applications, will apply a watershed source loading model, and will develop a watershed protection plan for a local lake.
