Additional Course Details:

The field of biotechnology is constantly expanding to incorporate promising cutting-edge therapies.  Advanced therapies refers to new medical products that use gene therapy, cell therapy, and tissue engineering.  In late 2017 and early 2018, after many years of research and development, the US saw the first FDA approvals for both cell and gene-based therapies for leukemia and inherited blindness, respectively.  This course will cover the biology of advanced therapies and recent developments in the field.
