Topics include cell biology, wound healing, host response to foreign materials, polymers, hydrogels, diffusion and methods of material characterization. Specific medical applications of biomaterials such as orthopedic and dental implants, heart valves, artificial blood vessels, cochlear and ophthalmic implants and tissue engineering. Laboratory.
