Health promotion and risk reduction are examined within an ecological perspective, including critical social, political, racial/ethnic, cultural and economic environments. Epidemiological and biostatistical approaches are used to analyze population data to identify and analyze the determinants of health, health promotion and risk reduction strategies, and to evaluate the distribution of health conditions.
