Digital Methods in Art History
With the rise of new applications and technologies, disciplines like Art History are developing innovative research strategies and methods of inquiry. This seminar explores how these technologies can be applied to Art History. Throughout the semester, students will engage with case studies to learn about digitizing art collections, data visualization, text analysis, mapping, and the use of technologies such as virtual reality, 3D modeling, and 3D printing. The aim is for students to develop foundational skills in digital applications and understand how to use them as tools for research.
