Students should view FIN 701 (Financial Policy) & FIN 702 (Investment Analysis) as building blocks on top of ADMN 570 (Intro to Financial Management). Consider taking these two courses before you take other FIN 700-level courses, as these other FIN 700-level courses build on concepts from 701 & 702.
FIN 701 seeks to give you a clear understanding of the methods financial managers use to add value to the firm. These include "in what projects do we invest?" (the investment decision), "how do we use debt and equity to fund the firm?" (the financing decision), and "what are our policies to shareholders?" (the dividend decision).
