This course provides an introduction to medical terminology. The origin, roots, prefixes and suffixes of common scientific and medical terms will be examined as well as common abbreviations and terms used in medical records documentation and within the medical, and allied health literature. Content is appropriate for students majoring in the Biological Sciences, Medical Sciences and Allied Health fields.
