Additional Course Details:

Course aims to provide an introductory understanding of Digital Audio Workstations, MIDI, microphones and their usage, recording live sound, introductory overview of film scoring, audio effects, and mixing audio utilizing equalization and panning.

Using Bandlab.com (and Apple Logic for final film project), MIDI input and recorded live sounds, students will produce several pieces of music, including an original score for a short film clip. Students are expected to further these productions on a weekly basis, discuss their progress with teacher as well as other students, and will be expected to work with course materials in their own space as well as in PCAC music tech lab if necessary. Class will engage in weekly discussion posts regarding an album, song, or film.
