Ready to Lead

Companies across all sectors often push early professionals into high-impact roles solely based on strong indi- vidual performance. But once in “the big seat”, too many new managers lose confidence, fail to deliver desired results, and are left wondering if they’ll ever get back on track. What happened? Well, maybe the better question is “What didn’t happen?” Ready to Lead will explore Leader Development as a journey from the Inside-Out. Participants will dig deep to uncover key influences and experiences from their lives, and consider how their unique stories set a foundation to becoming trusted, effective, and impactful Leaders.

In addition, Students will learn to create a Leader Roadmap, charting the key experiences of their past to help fuel a vision for their first 1-3 years in the workforce. This course will examine attributes of Leaders, Authority dynamics, Self-Awareness, Risk Taking, and the critical role Context plays in how Leaders take action. A dynamic roster of guest speakers from an array of industries will share their experiences as early Leaders, warts and all.
