Introduces the design of controlled experiments and the collection and analysis of scientific data. Use of a statistical software package is an integral part of the course; interpreting and drawing conclusions from standard software output is emphasized. Graphical data analysis, statistical process control, regression and correlation, multifactor experimental designs, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing. Pre- or Co-req: MATH 426.
