The discussion-based colloquium will analyze a diverse range of narrative forms--from TedEx Talks and social media, to fiction and poetry--related to intersectional feminism, with an emphasis on twenty-first century America.  A roundtable format of instructor- and student-selected texts, in conjunction with guest speakers and class presentations, are intended to assist in navigating the systems of power and communication that govern our complex world.  The goal of the colloquium, which culminates in a research-based essay or form of a findings presentation, is to illuminate the social network we inhabit and to empower an authentic and informed expression of voice and spirit.
