Sustainable Sourcing

The Sustainable Sourcing class will take you on a journey to discuss the different responsibilities and ethical dilemmas posed when sourcing goods and services through the Procurement department.  When faced with ambiguity, and evolving industry standards, how do you determine the right thing to do?  What decisions must you make to keep your business running, while also being aware of environmental, social, and economic factors?

We will perform a Supplier Risk Assessment to analyze and measure Financial Stability, Geo-political Standing, Compliance, Operational Excellence, and Sustainability within companies of different industries.  We will discuss these topics, along with other current events, to understand Procurement’s crucial role in a company’s supply chain while maintaining a high level of sustainability.
