Grounded in positive youth development and experimental learning, this course focuses on how to promote the healthy development of all youth through the use of sport, recreation, and adventure-based activities.  The course operates from a risk and resilience perspective and theory of social vulnerability to demonstrate the power of strength-based approaches to prevention and intervention strategies.
