The NP will develop advanced skills for the differential diagnosis of mental disorders by expanding observational and interviewing skills, and the use and interpretation of screening tools, laboratory tests, and behavioral assessments. Clinical seminars and didactic sessions are based on the most current edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders V (DSM 5) and other appropriate methodologies for diagnosis.
