Examines patterns and trends of violent conflict, the conditions that are likely to lead to war, and the myriad ways violent conflict affects the economy, political system, and cultural norms of a society. Explores the transdisciplinary research on how wars end and the conditions under which mass violence is likely to resume. Reviews methods and tools for peacebuilding and solving human insecurity problems in conflict-affected states.
