Interpretation and Location

In this course, we will begin by exploring imaginative ideas through model making. This will lead to investigating techniques such as bent-lamination, coopering, and applying veneer. Finally, we will settle on building a large piece of furniture as we explore how it interacts with its surroundings as well as what it offers and to whom it is intended. All hand tools and machinery will be covered throughout the semester. Prior woodworking experience required.
