Additional Course Details:
This semester will be dedicated to Category Theory. We will cover the following topics in more or less detail depending on the familiarity and interests of the participants:
- Categories, functors and natural transformations
- Universal properties, representability and the Yoneda Lemma
- Limits and colimis
- Adjunctions 5 Monads and their algebras
- Kan extension
- Additional topics: Model categories, derived functors and homotopy limits, higher categories.
