Additional Course Details: 

This semester will be dedicated to Category Theory. We will cover the following topics in more or less detail depending on the familiarity and interests of the participants:

  1. Categories, functors and natural transformations
  2. Universal properties, representability and the Yoneda Lemma
  3. Limits and colimis
  4. Adjunctions 5 Monads and their algebras
  5. Kan extension
  6. Additional topics: Model categories, derived functors and homotopy limits, higher categories.
