This online course builds on the NP's fundamental knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, focusing on major mental disorders across the lifespan. Disorders are examined including various factors such as developmental, genetic, injury, trauma, infection, degeneration, and substance use disorders. Complex networks necessary for maintaining homeostasis within the brain and between the brain and body are examined in relation to these disorders.
