The first course in a two-semester sequence, this course develops teacher competency to analyze learners and learning environments; specify learner characteristics; and design, implement, and evaluate appropriate educational interventions in the areas of language, mathematics, reading, behavior, and social skills. Focus on children with mild and moderate learning difficulties in regular classrooms. Prereq: EDUC 850; EDUC 851 and permission.
