Basic concepts, theories, and skills of social work practice. Lectures and discussions, readings and written exercises, and laboratory and practice sessions. Students use the experiential parts of the course (laboratory and interview simulations) to apply the conceptual and theoretical knowledge.
Section Comments: Students in this course will have a bi-weekly mandatory synchronous component that will happen on a Monday or Wednesday evening between 7-9 EST for a 1 hour block. This can be changed at the instructor's discretion with notice to the students. Please email the instructor directly for the schedule if needed.
