Focuses on the use of ASL discourse in formal as well as informal settings. Students explore the genres of public speaking, artistic expression, formal discussion, interview, and narrative. Development of ASL vocabulary in specialized areas not covered in previous courses. Lab.

If students’ previous ASL courses have not been through UNH Manchester, they will need to schedule a language assessment prior to enrolling in this.  Contact the program director Laurie Shaffer to schedule an assessment. The assessment is used to determine course placement based on language competency demonstrated.
