This course introduces the theory of evolution by natural selection and the influence of evolutionary theory on our understanding of the cause and treatment of human disease. Topics covered include evolutionary theory, natural selection, human evolution, pathogen evolution, evolutionary mismatch, and the evolution of aging, cancer, and reproduction.
