Pre-req for this workshop: completion of Arts 551 Intro Darkroom Photography or Arts 552 Intro Digital Photography

Advanced explorations of aesthetic and content issues through the use of traditional light-sensitive and/or digital methodologies. Significant emphasis on developing a cohesive body of work or project culminating in a portfolio at the end of the semester. Advanced photographic techniques and equipment will be presented to solve visual problems arising from each student's work. Continued emphasis is placed on research into the content and context of the photographic image in contemporary practice through creative assignments, gallery visits, guest lecturers, and critiques.
