Intro to Women’s Leadership in HHS: Positive leadership is critical to individual, organizational, and communal success. This foundational course orients students to the CHHS Women’s Leadership Program and introduces them to a variety of leadership-pertinent topics including, but not limited to, current obstacles facing women in the workforce, the importance of gender equity across the HHS landscape, and the essential competencies and experiences to leadership in the field. Healthcare executives and human services leaders provide rich examples and insight from their own leadership journeys as guest lecturers throughout the semester. In line with the mission of the Women’s Leadership Program, this course provides an opportunity for students to begin mapping personal leadership development plans that will equip and empower them to become future transformational leaders in their local and global communities.
