Additional Course Details:
This course is a prerequisite for Econometrics 1 (Econ 926) unless permission is granted by the Econ 926 instructor. The course reviews the probability and statistical theory underlying graduate level econometrics. It also familiarizes the students with the statistical programs SAS and, to a lesser extent, Stata that are frequently used by economists in managing datasets, constructing descriptive statistics and estimating economic models. Both will be used in Econ 926.
